Veterinary Evidence is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). This achievement signifies that Veterinary Evidence follows the highest standards of publication ethics and applies the principles of publication ethics as outlined in COPE’s Core Practices.
Upon applying to COPE the journal was subjected to a rigorous 18-month review process in which every aspect of the journal was carefully examined. COPE took into account the journal’s editorial management processes; peer review, editorial and production process; publication ethics and author misconduct policies, as well as a detailed analysis of the journal through more subtle forms of assessment based on COPE’s Membership subcommittee's experience.
COPE provides editors with advice and guidance on best practice for dealing with ethical issues in journal publishing. Its purpose is to safeguard the integrity of the scholarly record through educating publishers and providing resources. COPE membership provides assurance to our readers and authors of the high-quality standards to which the journal subscribes.
